Digital Literacy Program

The Literacy Society of the North Okanagan provides small-group facilitated beginner workshops and one on one volunteer tutoring support for adults learning how to navigate the digital world with their chosen device.

Adults can register for a workshop or tutoring or both!

Workshops and tutors help adults with Samsung tablets and phones (Android), laptops, or iPads or i-Phones (Apple).

Some of the things that tutors can help with…

  • Setup up and/or using an email account
  • Sending and saving photos
  • Searching the internet and saving links
  • Creating folders and saving files
  • Understanding your computer, android tablet or iPad

Our Volunteers

Without our dedicated volunteers this program would not be possible.

Our volunteers are required to:

  • Attend an orientation/training session
  • Undergo a criminal record check
  • Receive ongoing support from the program coordinator
